VT for July 4th

When it was not raining, it was beautiful

and we took advantage of being outside even when it showered.

A lucky break in the weather (maybe an hour) let us go to the park for some celebrating: More! More fiddawoowks, pweeze Mommy! These were a first for J, and we have talked about them every night since.

These actually did something this year! Last year they looked dead as can be.

This is what a horriffic headache looks like - I know it's not much, but it was enough for the Dr. to say "this is the prettiest little Lyme disease rash I ever saw" and my, oh my, how it grew.

More roof reality

and on with the new - the wood arrives! J was very excited by the delivery, as was his dad!

Hoorah - a sound garage roof! Next project: the wire and that patchy lawn - what is that about?

oh, right...the beach

This is probably the best (in the correct sense) picture of all of the pics I took - Jack with the vanishing point. It was perfect for us, because the beach was empty and the weather was flawless. I got in lots of walking and some pretty great shopping: Bargans in fact!, so I was very pleased.
My sister-in-law took the last 2 pics - I was not even there - but I can always count on her to bring the camera, and her great eye.

Here is my favorite girl, A. She was just off of one of her many elective trips this summer: a whale watching trip in Boston - smart and beautiful = fabulous.
