No man is an island

Wendy did a marvelous job getting Dad's 60th birthday party together: just the right mix of friends and plenty of food made for an unforgettable celebration - Happy Birthday Dad!

Wendy told dad "Come on in here and blow out these 60 candles I have lit on this cake, Rob" Dad: "Really!? You got 60 candles on that cake?" Wendy: "Are you kidding, the house would be on fire."

Rob provided the entertainment for Jack while Bree played with Jack's toy: everyone was happy.

Got any more of that pineapple, birthday man?

Well it's just now and then my line gets cast into these time passages

Our friends Jessica & Rory just had a baby (yay!) and C & I were inspired to go back and drool over the tine-tine pics of our own little J-Bird. These in particular amazed us (i.e. freaked us out) to look back at because they are from this week last year. Wow.
The iconic pic.

First grown-up food - Creme Brulee.

Today, last year.
Buy me a ticket on the last train home tonight....
(And now I'll be thinking that song for days)

Outside 'till the last!

1 more walk and we have to go home, kiddo

About this point, Jack fell asleep - and slept until we landed back in cold NY.

Ladies (and gentlemen) who lunch

Testing out some mustard on that pretzel

Charming the waiters

Sun, sand and surf

So, so, so exciting

absolute b-line for the sea
(and here lie the remains of a pun I was 1/2 trying to sort out re: learning your A-B-Seas - uuuhhg RIP, corny line, RIP.)

Wet sand! Even better, more salty and - yum,

De-lish! The sand on his toes was pretty tasty too

Last night, I dreamt I went to Manderly again....

It seemed to me I stood by the iron gate leading to the drive....

Ok, really, Palm Beach, not a classic gothic mystery in Cornwall, but my camera was doing wonderful things with the light - must have been the rarified air of Worth Avenue enchanting the lens.

There is a smoke monster in here somewhere.

Okeeheelee

the park was burned in the 80's -
as crispy as this tree looks, it's still alive.

reptilian foreplay

He was over it.

Alive, I swear.

Scary monsters

Run of the house

Jack really loves all of the space at Mom's - and he took full advantage.

That beloved Bismark again.
