spring 08 beach - belatedly........

The rides at Playland left Jackson cold, but his daddy seemed to have a pretty good timeA rare Uncle Geno sighting - here having an unusually quiet moment (and since he is rarely seen in pics at all - it's all the more amazing).

Just one of those little details that make the house so charming.

The much loved house.

Surprise!

As was to be expected, the spread at John & Jill's was stellar - Bonnie got the tent and had the party catered - fantastic food. The house and yard looked beautiful and John said they are so far ahead on the summer project list, he expects to be able to just lounge for a few months; Jill found this statement highly amusing...

Jack and Sam meet

And the birthday man arrives - we love Mike!

Mother W and Aubrey

a good time was had by all (except for Jack at this point, who was way past due for a nap in the hot lava room)

Pam, Holmes and Samuel (who is just charming)

Rain was in the forecast - but the Gods smile on Mike's birthday celebration with a lovely day.

the nature of spring

One day cold and clammy, the next sunny and beautiful (well yeah, the day we have to leave). But we got some good playtime in no matter the weather - here, playing amongst the marble babies (much larger than the brick variety) at Northshire.

Danby at dusk

oooh - warmth after days of gloom

Ave atque vale, Vt - it's always hard to leave, but we will see you real soon.
