I know, I know, it's mid-winter in the Hudson Valley, and what else can I expect: being covered by dirty snow and mud are just facts of life in February, but it's starting to wear on us, so lets go back to Florida (pictorially, not bodily - phooey).
Sometimes, during hurricane season, we get one of these coconuts in the mail (when the wind starts to blow, they are less decorative and delicious, and much more deadly!).
Hold up at our warm house in a frozen town, I am back to stalking the birds at the kitchen window: cheeky little creatures, we do enjoy them here! I think this is a Winter Wren - not a usual visitor, but word's got out. Play sound from this species this song makes our cat crazy
At least I think that's what it was called - well, mom and I enjoyed the safari portion but J was all about the playland: he went on the carousel like 10 times Finally out of the car and free to run around - this is about the only shot I have of the front of him since he was always running away from me and to the next big event....(or to GG) one of many, many kick-ens "Cows" really, really right next to the car
The enjoyment he got from these giraffe alone was worth the price of admission - no fear, even after he got a tongue bath from this long-necked lady.
This blog is pretty blog-less - just pics of our son and his growth - some of mommy's other jaunts (certainly few of those) - just whoever has the camera.
