So, I am making a little book of Florida memories for J - these are the first 3 pages chronicling the good times: Getting ready for a dip in GG's pool (which is like a big salt water bath):
Our trip to the zoo and some of the animals we saw:
and fed - getting licked by the giraffe was the BEST, but he enjoyed a little finger nibble from the lorrie too:

tradition
Here we are at our usual hang in PB; Bradley's -
where there is always a lot of mustard going on (on the prezels) - but that's ok, I mean, it's messy but it's NOT that awful red sticky stuff I am so afraid of. Mom did introduce him to ketchup while we were there - it was a horrifying scene: my son, sucking it off the fries.
The Breakers
The Breakers - C's cousin interned here for a summer when he was at culinary school, so we went and payed some homage. Mom's garden club met here a few weeks ago - they toured the grounds with the head gardener and she said it was very interesting. But I was not impressed with the gardens that I saw: "garden-variety" must have started here - the plantings were not grand enough. To my eye, impatiens and begonias (yawn) just don't stand up to this impressive structure in elegance or in heft.
Leaving
Mom's street, reflected onto the back bumper of her her little rocket car as she drives us away from our sun filled vay-cay and back to the airport.
He will wear headphones now! He is a great flyer, so it's just another thing for him to be happy about on the plane. What he was listening to:
Now that'll make most anybody smile.
